In August of 2014, Microsoft hit Samsung with a major lawsuit regarding missing royalty payments. Now, after months of quarreling, the two companies have come to terms.

Both Microsoft and Samsung have announced that they have ended their contract dispute regarding the royalty payments, as well as their ICC arbitration. However, as far as details go, they are light as neither company divulged the details of what each consideration actually meant at the end of the day. They’re keeping it confidential for now. The statement from both is as follows:

“Samsung and Microsoft are pleased to announce that they have ended their contract dispute in U.S. court as well as the ICC arbitration. Terms of the agreement are confidential.“

Generally speaking, it’s good news for both Microsoft and Samsung to have this issue settled. For the mobile space in general, it’s good to see one less court battle taking place.
